Anorexia

Anorexia is an eating disorder where people starve themselves. Anorexia usually begins in young people around the onset of puberty. Individuals suffering from anorexia have extreme weight loss. Weight loss is usually 15% below the person's normal body weight. People suffering from anorexia are very skinny but are convinced that they are overweight. Weight loss is obtained by many ways. Some of the common techniques used are excessive exercise, intake of laxatives and not eating.

Anorexics have an intense fear of becoming fat. Their dieting habits develop from this fear. Anorexia mainly affects adolescent girls.

Approximately 95% of those affected by anorexia are female, but males can develop the disorder as well. While anorexia typically begins to manifest itself during early adolescence, it is also seen in young children and adults. In the U.S. and other countries with high economic status, it is estimated that about one out of every 100 adolescent girls has the disorder.

Now days, we have more anorexic young girls than in the past. Many of this teenegers are wanting to look like the models they see on television. A lot of them, are not considering the risks of anorexia. Being an anorexic person is a serious problem that should be treated instantly. Each day, a girl dies or ends up at the hospital because she thought it something normal.

According to Paul M. Weyrich, "Totalization" is the name for this idea, and it would permit a Mexican worker to combine their years spent working in the United States and Mexico when applying for Social Security benefits. There is very good reason for Americans to be concerned about "totalization" because we could end up sending hundreds of millions of dollars a year to Mexico, further straining our Social Security system. We could add as many as 162,000 Mexicans to our Social Security rolls during the agreement's first five years.

Wyrich, does not want immigrants to get social security benefits because in his opinion all that money would be sent back to Mexico. He also against it because that money could be used here, instead of being spent in another country.

Immigrants work for the same reason Americans work in the United States. That reason is to have a better future and a better life for their family. In my opinion, immigrants should have the benefits to receive Social Security because every person deserves to earn back the money they have worked for many years. These people called "immigrants" are working the same way and the same hours as any other American. The money that they would get back should not concern anyone but themselves. It's money these people have been working on for so many years.
